Why AI agent projects stall (and how to fix it)

Why AI agent projects stall (LangChain survey, 1,340 builders):

→ 57.3% already run agents in production; 30.4% are building one
→ #1 blocker: quality (32%), then latency (20%). Security is 24.9% at big companies
→ 89% have observability, but only 52.4% run offline evals
→ Top uses: customer service (26.5%), research + data (24.4%), internal workflows (18%)

The fix: write evals before features, add a human checkpoint, route easy steps to faster models.
